Synopsis
Black can no longer remember how long it has lived in the darkness, until an old window on the wall was opened, and White, a mysterious figure, from beyond the window, climbs through and enters Black’s isolated world. They are both happy to get to know each other, however, as the light comes through the opened window reveals Black’s appearance, it also creates its shadow—a giant monster clinging on the messy, scratched wall behind them, and launched its attack at Black and White instantly.
About
UAL year2 work (2021) The work is inspired by a relationship between me and my friend and the theme is intimacy, accepting and embracing. I think it could be a relationship between family members, friends, couples as well as one with oneself, from which I believe personalities do not make sense when one is on one’s own, only by getting on with others we gradually uncover ourselves by reflecting on each other, and therefore figuring out who we really are. By the time of this project it was during the Covid pandemic, and I only managed to finish the first part of the whole story…I really enjoy and appreciate this project and I hope sometime in the future, I can pick it up again and finish it.
2025 Edit
I’m finally picking up this project again and carrying it on.
